Finn Thybo Andersen: 

Born Sindal Denmark in 1943. Studied at the Royal Academy of Art. Copenhagen 1966-70. Worked with a group in "The Experimental Art School" with performances and environmental sculptures 1967-68. Worked with a group "Kanonklubben" with super 8 mm films and performances 1969-70. Participated in the group show "Festival 200", Charlottenborg, Copenhagen 1969 and Nordic Youth Biennale Oslo 1970. After a pauce of 20 years, resumed art production with a one-man show in "KONCO", Copenhagen 1991. Exhi- bitions with TAPKO at Fiat, Copenhagen 1993 and at C.E.C. Copenhagen 1994. Center for Contemporary Art, Warzawa Poland 1994. Center for Visual Activity, Wroclaw, Poland 1994 and TAPKO AD HOC. Toldboden, Helsingore, Denmark 1995. Exhibitions with ZEBRA, Den Frie, Copenhagen 1994-95. One-man show in Nordjyllands Kunstmuseum. Aalborg 1996. Teac- her of art and among others founder of Ranum Artschool. Overgaden, The Ministry of Cultural affairs´ exhibition building, Copenhagen, 1997. Lecturer, head of project group in sculpture at basic educational trai- Ning, Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen 1998.

 

 

Kirsten Dufour:

The activities of Kirsten Dufour:

1969-1970 - "Kanonklubben" ("professorless" department at the academy). 1970 - Experimental film shows, 7 Women pictures, Rådskælderen and Trefoldigheden Gardens, Peterlykkes Centre, Amager. 1984 - Squatting of Hudegården. 1996 - Peace Exhibition, Charlottenborg and publishing the book "Rosso Aquamarin" with Lone Bjelke. 1996-1997 S.A.A.S. (Space of Advanced Art Studies) with Finn Thyboe Andersen, an alternative forum for experimental art. An exhibition and project room: Gallery "No Name – s.t.d.d." and a publishing firm.

Grants & achievements:

The Carlsberg Fund’s roman grant 1969.The Stat’s Art fund’s work grants 1969, 1970 and 1996.The Ole Haslund’s grant 1966, 1986 and 1991. The sculptor Victor Jarl’s grant of honour 1988 and sculptor Gotfred Eikhoff’s grant of honour 1988. The Academy’s grants 1988 and 1995. Artist of Northern Jutland 1992. The sculptor Gerhard Henning’s grant 1994. Danish Art’s grant of honour 1996. Eickhoff’s Fund 1996, and support from the Ministry of Cultural Affairs to illustrate the book "Rosso Aquamarin", 1996. The artist has sold to the Stat’s Art fund, the Stat’s Museum of Art in Copenhagen, Hjørring Art Museum, Odense Council, and has decorated Hillerød Pedestrian Street, and Vrå Folk High School. Kirsten Dufour is a member of Guirladen, Århus; and the Vrå exhibition, Zebra, Copenhagen. Furthermore, there are a number of other important exhibitions.

Workshop:

With a starting point of the individual participants’ qualifications and wishes, we will work with spatial objects of different materials, both as installation art and as sculptures. The most successful works will form part of a memory park that will open in connection with the festival.
