Film TV - Workshop 16 Henning Boetner Hansen |

| The
workshop should give an idea of what it means to work with film and TV.
In order to make it comprehendible the participants must choose one of the four areas that
the workshop is divided into.
The four areas are as follows; sitcom, music video, documentary, and fiction (e.g. action and horror). Then the participants get an opportunity to work with one of these well-known genres within TV and film. The idea is that the four production groups, formed by the participants, should produce a little TV programme or a little film lasting about 5-6 minutes. The premiere will be on the last days of the festival. All the participants will choose the best film. The work with the individual product should give both knowledge and experience so that you get a greater insight into the genre that you have worked with.
|
Through
teaching and specific examples of the chosen genres the workshop will
make the participants capable of working on their own. Professionals and other experienced persons will be connected to each group. They will be the teachers and coach the groups during their work. This will ensure that every group succeeds in making a product. The teaching will introduce the technical gear and at the same time make the participants familiar with the different phases a TV- or film product typically consists of. Those phases can be research, casting, writing: of a manuscript and storyboard, instruction of characters, camera- and sound tapings, editing, and launching. After the first general instructions the individual crew decides who should be responsible for the different functions within the production. After that the teaching will be directed towards the specific functions.
|
The two first days of the workshop will be used for teaching and after that the productions start with the aim that the result must be shown on the last day ofthe festival. To make sure that the
crews gain as much knowledge as possible the teaching will be divided
into a general part where the usage of the gear is introduced. Further more we
will look at what it means The festival offers other workshops closely connected to this one and it will therefore be possible to cooperate with these. The workshop will be "hard, but happy work" - which by the way always is the case when you work with TV- and film production.
