The Aalborg Tower (Aalborg
Tårnet)
As a landmark over the city, the 105 metre
high Aalborg Tower stands on the crest of a hill right behind the Museum
of Art. From the top of the tower there is a breathtaking view of the
horizon, and it is from here you can get the impression of the city’s
size, surrounding area with the fjord, and the changing landscape. The
tower was built in connection with an exhibition in 1933 and should have
been pulled down right after – just like the Eiffel Tower.
